Upcoming Events

Hey Guys!

Just wanted to remind everyone of a couple of great things that are coming up! On September 26th we will meet at the church for a Destination Unknown trip. Dress casual and bring a jacket in case it gets cool. We’ll meet at the church at 6:30 and return by 8:00 p.m.

Then on October 3rd we will be leaving the church about 6:15 p.m. for a trip to see John Jacobs Next Generation Power Force at the Princeton Church of God. This Strength Team preforms with speed, power, strength and are intense as they deliver a message of hope to lift the world.

Invite your friends to join us there’s always room for one more!

Hi Guys!

I’ve really enjoyed getting to know some of the youth at Va. Ave. better this summer. I’ve learned that all of you guys swim really well and can splash h-u-g-e amounts of water out of the pool. So even if you came just to watch at the pool parties you were probably gonna end up wet!

I’ve also learned that I am not the best bowler in the youth group and that when you throw your ball down the lane you should make sure that the thumb hole is large enough to let go of your finger when you throw it :~)

But most of all I have learned what a great group of youth Virginia Avenue has and how much fun they are to work with. Thanks for letting me help out.

Next week on September 12 we will be meeting at the church at 6:30 p.m. and starting a 4 part study series. So I hope everyone can come and join in from the beginning. It’s O.K. if you can’t be at every meeting but I hope you’ll try.

WOW Youth to Begin!!

I’m so excited! This Wednesday marks the beginning of this school year’s Youth meetings at Virginia Avenue UMC. Fred and I (Leisa) have been talking about how we want to make these meetings filled with fun and information. I really am looking forward to getting to know each of you better.

So if you are in the 6th thru 12th grade and want a place where you can relax and see how you fit into God’s plan, come join us on July 11th at 6:00 p.m. Oh yeah, feel free to invite a friend to come along…you know what they say- the more the merrier:)
